Terms of use
By using PDFEditorOnline you agree to these terms.
The service
PDFEditorOnline is a web application that runs in your browser. Files are processed on your device. You are responsible for keeping copies of your original documents and for checking exported files before relying on them — especially conversions, OCR results, AI output and redactions, which the editor helps verify but cannot guarantee for every possible file.
Your content
You keep all rights to your documents. Because they are not uploaded, we never see, store or use them.
Acceptable use
Only edit, sign, unlock or redact documents you have the right to handle. The unlock tool requires the document's password or your confirmation that you are entitled to modify it; it is not a tool for bypassing protections on documents that aren't yours.
No warranty
The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from its use, including data loss or errors in converted, recognised or AI-generated content. Signatures added with the editor are images; whether an electronic signature is valid for a given purpose depends on your jurisdiction.
Changes
We may update these terms; the current version is always on this page. Last updated: October 2026.
